Last two U20WC spots at stake Wednesday

PUEBLA, Mexico - Two of CONCACAF's four tickets to the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup have already been claimed and the remaining two are on the line Wednesday, as a doubleheader involving the survivors from Groups C and D takes place at the Estadio Cuauhtemoc. In the opener, Panama takes on El Salvador, followed by a meeting between host Mexico and Jamaica.

    WEDNESDAY - FEBRUARY 27, 2013

    Quarterfinals
    Panama v El Salvador, 6:00 p.m. ET

    Mexico v Jamaica, 9:00 p.m. ET

Here are some other storylines to watch:

    •  Panama's Amet Ramirez is the tournament's top scorer with four goals, netting twice in each of the two group games. Can he keep his streak alive?

    •  El Salvador has never qualified for a FIFA U-20 World Cup. The opportunity to do so this time comes against a strong regional rival.

    •  Mexico has scored six goals and conceded none in its two group games, winning both by identical 3-0 scores. In the 2011 quarterfinal, the tricolors defeated Canada, 3-0. Is another 3-0 victory in the cards against Jamaica?

    •  Jamaica defeated Puerto Rico 4-1 in its group opener, before losing 4-0 to Panama in its second game. Which Jamaica team can be expected to take the field against the host?

The United States and Cuba qualified for the U-20 World Cup later this year with wins over Canada and Costa Rica, respectively, on Tuesday. It will be the Cubans first-ever trip to the FIFA event.

The tournament's match for third place and final will be played on Sunday, also at the Estadio Cuauhtemoc.
