    Honduras U20s continue work

    TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras.- With a 27-man roster, the Honduras under-20 national team opened its second training camp on Monday under the guidance of head coach Jorge Jimenez.

    The players were chosen after tryouts in various locations throughout the country.

    "We are very encouraged with the group, now in its second microcycle, we will carry double training sessions in the capital," Jimenez told Honduran newspaper La Prensa.

    Among those participating is Real España forward Carlos Plummer, son of Carlos Pavon, the legendary Honduran international.  Plummer received his first call to the youth squad along with teammate Bryan Rochez.

    Kevin Alvarez, Anoal Hernandez, Devron Garcia, Rembrandt Flores, Brayan Velasquez and Alberth Elis, who all played at the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates, are also with the team.

    The next FIFA U-20 World Cup will be held in New Zealand, May 30-June 20, 2015.
