    Honduras’ Bengtson loaned to Belgrano

    FOXBOROUGH, Massachusetts – The New England Revolution announced Friday that it has loaned Honduras international Jerry Bengtson to Argentinean first-division side Belgrano through June 30, 2015.

    The 27-year-old joined the Revolution slightly more than two years ago from Honduras’ Motagua.  He has scored four goals in 36 appearances with the club.

    Bengtson started all three games for Honduras at the recently completed FIFA World Cup after leading the Catrachos during qualifying with nine goals.  Additionally, he scored a team-high three goals for Honduras at the 2012 Olympic Games.

    Overall, Bengtson has 47 caps and 19 goals.
