GUATEMALA CITY – The Guatemala Under-20 Women’s National Team returned to training Tuesday as it continues to prepare for the 2014 CONCACAF Women’s Under-20 Championship.

Head coach Benjamin Monterroso has scheduled workouts through January 7, 2014, when the squad departs for the CONCACAF event, which runs January 9-19 in the Cayman Islands.  The Guatemalans are in Group A with the United States, Costa Rica and Jamaica.

The U20s participated in last month’s XVII Bolivarian Games in Trujillo, Peru, where it went 0-0-3 against South American opposition.  Vivian Herrera, Aisha Solorzano and Madelyn Ventura scored one goal each during the competition.
