    NEW YORK - Dianne Ferreira-James of Guyana and Quetzalli Alvarado of Mexico will referee the opening day group matches at the CONCACAF Under-20 Women's Championship beginning Thursday in Panama City, the confederation announced Wednesday.

    Ferreira-James will be in the middle for the first game of the tournament on Thursday between Canada and Haiti, while Alvarado will officiate the second game of Friday's doubleheader between Panama and Cuba.

    The first round will continue through Tuesday with the semifinals set for March 9 and the finals two days later.
