FRISCO, Texas -- FC Dallas announced Friday that it has acquired Costa Rica international Jose Salvatierra on loan from Alajuelense and signed Belgian winger Roland Lamah.

The moves come a day after FCD acquired 20-year-old Ecuadorian defender Anobal Chala from El Nacional.

Defender Salvatierra had spent his entire eight-year professional career with Alajuelense, scoring nine goals in 155 games and winning two titles (2012 Invierno, 2013 Invierno).  He has also competed in 16 games across for editions of the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League.

The 27-year-old has been capped 30 times by Costa Rica since his 2011 debut and was part of the squad that captured the 2013 Copa Centroamericana title.  Salvatierra’s most recent appearance for the Ticos came in a 4-0 win over the visiting United States in a World Cup qualifier on November 15, 2016.

Lamah’s career has been marked by stints with clubs in numerous many leagues throughout, including the last three seasons in Hungary with Ferencvárosi (54 games/12 goals).  The 28-year-old has also played with Swansea City (Wales), Osasuna (Spain), Le Mans (France) and Roda JC (Netherlands).  He has five caps for Belgium.

FC Dallas’ next competitive match will be played on February 23, 2017, when it hosts Arabe Unido in the first leg of the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals.
