Heading into the final day of play on Tuesday, three teams -- Honduras, Guatemala and Costa Rica – remain in contention for the region’s last two tickets to Jamaica.

Here’s a recap of the tripleheader action at the Estadio Las Delicias:

    Costa Rica 6, Belize 0

In the opener, Randy Chirino (36’, 85’, 90’+2) scored three goals and Costa Rica (7 points) posted a 6-0 win over previously eliminated Belize (0 points).

After going winless in their opening three games, the Ticos have now kept clean sheets in two straight victories.

Rene Miranda (38’, 61’) struck for a brace, while Marcelo Gonzalez (47’) made it 3-0 two minutes into the second half, as Costa Rica kept its CONCACAF hopes alive.

Costa Rica will face host El Salvador on Tuesday.

    Nicaragua 0, Guatemala 4

After scoring only three times in its first four games, Guatemala (7 points) exceeded that total in a single outing with a 4-0 win over Nicaragua (3 points).

All the goals came during a second-half offensive outburst, ignited by Christopher Paolo Ortiz’s opener in the 69th minute.

Mauro Portillo (82’, 85’) made it 3-0 with a pair of strikes, before Pablo Aguilar (90’+3) closed the Chapines’ account deep into second-half stoppage time.

On Tuesday, Guatemala will square off against Belize.

    El Salvador 2, Panama 1

El Salvador’s dream of returning to the FIFA U-20 World Cup remained intact, after it clinched a CONCACAF Under-20 Championship place with a 2-1 win over table-topping Panama (15 points).

Denis Pineda (31’) struck for the third time in two games to give the host a 1-0 lead just past the half-hour mark.  Roberto Dominguez (82’) doubled the advantage with a late insurance tally, which proved necessary following a Bryan Tamacas (86’) own-goal.

Panama cannot be overtaken for first place, even though it has completed its participation in the competition.
