ADANA, Turkey – El Salvador international Nelson Bonilla made his debut with Gaziantep, playing the entire match in a 4-1 loss at Adana Demirspor at the 5 Ocak Fatih Terim Stadyumu on Sunday.

The 26-year-old joined the Turkish 1. Lig side (second division) last month on loan from Portugal’s Nacional.

Gaziantep (6W-4D-10L, 22 points) currently sits 13th in the table, four points above the relegation.

Bonilla, who helped El Salvador to a third place finish in the 2017 Copa Centroameriacana and a berth in this year’s CONCACAF Gold Cup, has also played in Romania (Viitorul Constanta) and Azerbaijan (Azira). He started his professional career with Salvadoran power Alianza in 2011.
