    Costa Rica’s Navas candidate for The Best FIFA Men’s Player 2017

    ZURICH – Selected by a panel of FIFA legends, Costa Rica international Keylor Navas was included Thursday on a list of 24 contenders for The Best FIFA Men’s Player 2017.

    The 30-year-old goalkeeper helped Real Madrid to 2016 FIFA Club World Cup, 2016/17 Spanish La Liga and 2016/17 UEFA Champions League titles. He also has played a key role in Costa Rica sitting second in the fifth-round table of CONCACAF qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

    The award, which will be presented will be presented at The Best FIFA Football Awards™ ceremony in London on October 23, 2017, recognizes achievements from November 20, 2016 to July 2, 2017.

    Fan voting will account for 25% of the results and will run from Monday to September 7.
