    Costa Rica int’l Carvajal joins Albacete

    ALBACETE, Spain – Costa Rica international Dany Carvajal was officially presented Friday as the newest acquisition of Albacete on a three-year contract.

    All-time great Costa Rican goalkeepers Luis Gabelo Conejo (1990-92, 1993-94) and Keylor Navas (2010-11) previously played for the Spanish club, which recently earned promotion to second division.

    Carvajal spent the last four years with Saprissa, where he was part four title-winning sides.  With the Monstruo Morado, the 28-year-old also competed in three editions of the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League (2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17).  He also appeared in another with Brujas (2010/11).

    Carvajal is on Costa Rica’s roster for the upcoming CONCACAF Gold Cup.
