    CLUB AMERICA, MONTERREY FLEX SCORING MUSCLES
    On Saturday, both Club America and Monterrey enjoyed five-goal hauls in 2018 Liga MX Clausura, week-five play.

    Club America (3W-2D-0L, 11 points, GD+6), which now sits in second place on goal difference behind Monterrey, earned a 5-1 win over visiting Lobos BUAP powered by Henry Martin's three goals (35', 45'+1, 47') - each via a header. Renato Ibarra (78') and Jeremy Menez (82') also scored for the Aguilas, who scored only four goals in their previous six home matches.

    Host Monterrey (3W-2D-0L, 11 points, GD+7) topped Leon, also by a score of 5-1, and climbed to the top of the table. Aviles Hurtado (16', 66') struck for two goals, while Rogelio Funes Mori (22'), Arturo Gonzalez (47') and Jonathan Urretaviscaya (70') added one each.

    MOTAGUA'S ESTUPIÑAN STRIKES AGAINST FORMER CLUB OLIMPIA
    Olimpia (2-3-0, 9) and Motagua (3-2-0, 11) -- Honduras' 2018 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League representatives - battled to a 1-1 draw on Sunday in the 2018 Clausura. Former Olimpia standout Javier Estupiñan (69') equalized for the Ciclon Azul, after Bryan Moya (26' pen) converted a penalty in the first half for the game's first goal.

    SEVEN FOR REAL ESTELI
    Real Esteli was on target Saturday in a 7-1 win over last-place Juventus Managua in the 2018 Nicaraguan Clausura. Gregorio Torres (9' pen, 56') and Ariagner Smith (67', 71') netted two goals apiece to give the El Tren del Norte a 4-0 lead.

    MEDINA HAT-TRICK KEYS ALIANZA COMEBACK
    After his team fell behind 3-0, Cesar Medina struck three late goals to give host Alianza (2-3-0, 9) a 3-3 draw with Tauro (1-4-0, 7) in the 2018 Panamanian Apertura. The 37-year-old forward converted from the penalty spot in the 74th and 87th minutes, before striking for the equalizer in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

    MEXICO INTERNATIONALS STAR IN EUROPE
    Mexico head coach Juan Carlos Osorio surely must have enjoyed watching his European-based players this past weekend. FW Javier Hernandez scored in West Ham United's 3-1 loss to Brighton, FW Raul Jimenez notched a goal for Benfica in a 5-1 hammering of Rio Ave, FW Hirving Lozano got to play the role of playmaker with two assists in PSV Eindhoven's 4-0 trouncing of Zwolle, while DF Diego Reyes chipped in with a goal for Porto in a 3-1 win over Braga.
