    CONCACAF teams drawn into tough groups for 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship

    Canada, Honduras, Panama and USA found themselves placed into tough groups when the draw for the FIFA World Youth Championship Netherlands 2005 was held on Sunday in Utrecht, as CONCACAF's four representatives all received their assignments for the Under-20 event which will run from 10 June - 2 July.

    Panama was drawn into Group B, along with China, Turkey and Ukraine, while Honduras will play in Group C, against Chile, Morocco and Spain.

    The USA was placed in Group D, joining Argentina, Germany and Egypt, while Canada found themselves in Group E, with Colombia, Italy and Syria.

    CONCACAF President Jack Warner, FIFA Vice President and Chairman of the Organising Committee for the FIFA World Youth Championship, presided over the draw ceremony, which also included the attendances of the Dutch stars such as: Marco Van Basten, Hans Van Breukelen, Guus Hiddink and John van't Ship.

    In all, 24 teams were drawn into six groups of four teams for the tournament in the Netherlands. The top two teams in each group, plus the four best third-place teams, advance to the knockout stage.
