    CONCACAF issue fines to CSD Municipal & Deportivo Saprissa

    CONCACAF announced that it has taken disciplinary action against CSD Municipal of Guatemala and Deportivo Saprissa of Costa Rica as a result of spectators misconduct during their respective home matches during the 2005 CONCACAF Champions' Cup.

    CONCACAF reviewed the Match Commissioner and Referee Reports along with video evidence for the Champions' Cup encounters of:
    1) CSD Municipal vs. CF Monterrey (MEX), Quarterfinal match, at Estadio Mateo Flores in Ciudad de Guatemala on 16 March
    2) Deportivo Saprissa vs. CD Monterrey, Semifinal match, at Estadio Ricardo Saprissa in San José, Costa Rica on 7 April

    As a result of the spectator misconduct, CONCACAF has fined each club $10,000 (USD).
