MIAMI -- CONCACAF and Beach Soccer Worldwide unveiled Friday the schedule for the 2017 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship (CBSC) to be played in the Bahamas from February 20-26.

It was also announced that Barbados will compete as a replacement for Guatemala, which is currently prohibited by FIFA from taking part in international play.

The CBSC consists of sixteen teams that were selected into four groups of four at October’s draw in Miami. During the competition’s first four days, the sides will compete in round-robin play.

The top two finishers from each group will advance to the quarterfinals, while the third- and fourth-placed teams will continue playing in placement matches over the final three match dates.

The eventual semifinal winners qualify for the 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer Championship, also in the Bahamas.
