Central American Under-17 qualifying draw held

GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala – The Central American Football Union (UNCAF) conducted a draw Tuesday to determine the groupings for a qualifying competition that will determine berths to the 2015 CONCACAF Under-17 Championship.

The six participants were divided into two groups of three.

Triangular I will be played in Costa Rica, November 4-8, 2014, and consists of the host, El Salvador and Belize.

Triangular II will be played in Panama, November 26-20, 2014, and consists of the host, Guatemala and Nicaragua.

The first-place teams from each triangular will qualify directly for the CONCACAF event, while the second-place teams in each group contest a playoff for the final berth.

The CONCACAF Under-17 Championship will be played in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, February 27 – March 14, 2015. The Estadio Olímpico Metropolitano and the Estadio Francisco Morazán have been named as tournament venues.
