    Caribbean Zone schedule set in 2001 FC Champions Cup

    The schedule has been set for qualifying rounds in the Caribbean Football Union for the 2001 FC Champions Cup. Sixteen clubs from 11 countries will begin play in two-leg series on 29 July and 5 August, the winners advancing to two round-robin series to be played in Trinidad & Tobago from 24-28 August. The winner of each group will play for the Caribbean club championship on 30 August, the winner moving on to the final phase of the FC Champions Cup in October.

    Each first-round series will either be played as a home-and-home series, or both at the same site, with the accord of both clubs.
