Each of the semifinalists have already earned places in July’s CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Since the first edition in 1989, the Caribbean Cup has served as the region’s championship for national teams.  On most occasions, but not always, it also doubled as a qualifying tournament for the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

The Caribbean Cup has been disputed on 18 previous occasions, crowning a champion 17 times.  Trinidad & Tobago has won the competition a record eight times, followed by Jamaica with six, while Haiti, Martinique and Cuba have lifted the trophy once apiece.

Jamaica earned top honors in 2014, outlasting T&T on penalty kicks, following a scoreless draw.
