Julian Wade may have turned in the top-individual performance by netting three goals for Dominica in 7-0 win at the British Virgin Islands, but Bermuda rallying from a one-goal deficit to defeat French Guiana, 2-1, was Saturday’s game of the day in the 2016/17 Scotiabank CFU Men’s Caribbean Cup.

CONCACAF.com takes a look at the third day of play in the Caribbean’s qualifying competition for the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

DEVONSHIRE, Bermuda -- Bermuda (1W-0D-1L, 3 points) remained in contention for a second-round berth in the 2016/17 Scotiabank CFU Men’s Caribbean Cup by rallying from a one-goal deficit to earn a 2-1 win over visiting French Guiana (0-0-1, 0) on Saturday night at the Bermuda National Sports Centre.

The result levelled the Bermudians with Cuba (1-0-0, 3) atop the Group 3 table. French Guiana, which fell to Honduras in a two-game playoff for a place in the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup, will host the Cubans on Tuesday, needing to avoid defeat in order to maintain hope of advancing as one of the top two teams from the group.

Reggie Lambe netted the game-winning goal in the 76th minute. After latching onto a long pass, Zeiko Lewis eluded goalkeeper Gregory Lescot and then found Lambe for a finish from close range.

French Guiana hit the woodwork through Loic Baal, before Rhudy Evens gave it a 1-0 lead in the 36th minute, when he beat goalkeeper Dale Eve.

Six minutes later Wendell Eve equalized, knocking in the rebound of a Lewis effort that was initially saved by Lescot.
