OTTAWA – Canada head coach Octavio Zambrano named Saturday a 24-man roster for an international friendly against visiting Jamaica on September 2 at BMO Field in Toronto.

The squad features veteran midfielders Atiba Hutchinson and Will Johnson, each of whom missed Les Rouges’ run to the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup quarterfinals.

“When we play at home, we want to play good football and we want to pick up from where we left off at the CONCACAF Gold Cup,” said Zambrano.  “We want to continue to build on what we have established at the CONCACAF Gold Cup and that will happen every time we get together.”

Also meriting selection are former Canadian U-20 Player of the Year Michael Petrasso and reigning Canadian U-17 Player of the Year Alphonso Davies.  The 16-year old Davies earned the Golden Boot and Best Young Player awards at the Gold Cup.

Canada is unbeaten six of its seven games in 2017 (3W-3D-1L),
