Burgos, Larin top El Salvador squad for friendlies

SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador – El Salvador head coach Albert Roca unveiled Friday a list of 21 players for international friendlies against Colombia and Ecuador on October 10 and October 14 at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey, United States.

The selection is highlighted by the inclusion of a pair of players named to the recently completed Central American Cup’s Best XI: forward Rafael Burgos and midfielder Alexander Larin.  Burgos joined Raul Diaz Arce as the only Salvadorans to score in three straight editions of the competition.

The local league players will report to the Albergue del Futbolista.on October 7, before traveling to the U.S., where they will be joined by the foreign-based squad members.
