"Building the Beach Warriors’ Dream” campaign blooms in El Salvador

Elmer Robles (blue shirt) is speaking with a group helping to promote the construction of a home for the El Salvador beach soccer standout.

SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador -- Thanks to the influence of social media, Megablock – a company specializing in concrete blocks -- has launched a campaign to support the construction of homes for El Salvador national beach soccer team players Elmer Robles and Ruben Batres.

The Salvadoran standouts reside in structures that fall below a suitable standard, giving energy to an effort aimed at improving the lives of two the nation’s best-known representatives.

While the initiative is well underway with planning and design, Cresty Zaldaña of Sevisal -- a company that aids the cause -- says additional sponsors are needed and being pursued.

"We continue to knock on the doors of friendly companies to complete the players’ dream with materials such as cement, iron and sand,” Zaldaña remarked. “We already have ceilings, floors, windows, false sky, gravel, electrical systems and fans, among other items,".

Those organizations or individuals interested in receiving more information, and becoming part of the "Building the Beach Warriors’ Dream” campaign, should call 2523-2300 or 7318-8684.
