Brazil takes final two of series against Canada

The under-20 team of Canada lost the final two matches of the series against visiting Brazil this week in British Columbia (BC).

After achieving their first historic victory (2:1) over Brazil in the opener of the three-game series on 19 May at the Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton (Alberta), Canada were beaten 3:1 in the second encounter three days later at the Centennial Stadium in Victoria, BC.

Luis Adriano scored twice and Ji Paraná added another for the samba kings, while Andrea Lombardo had the only goal for the maple leafs in the loss in Victoria.

The series concluded at the Swangard Stadium in Burnaby, BC as two Canadian own goals and a tally by Renatinho led Brazil to a 3:1 win on 25 May.
