    100 Days to Go to CONCACAF Gold Cup as Nicaragua Completes Field of 12

    MIAMI – CONCACAF announced Wednesday – 100 days out from the inaugural match – that the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup field is set with Nicaragua's qualification as the 12th and final participating nation in this year’s continental championship.  

    Nicaragua prevailed over Haiti, 4-3 on aggregate, following a home-and-away qualifying playoff contested during FIFA window on March 24 and 28. On Tuesday evening in Managua, the host Nicaraguans scored three goals in the last ten minutes to win 3-0 and overcome a 3-1 deficit following the first leg.

    In the Gold Cup, Nicaragua will face Group B rivals Martinique (July 8; Nashville, Tennessee), Panama (July 12; Tampa, Florida) and the United States (July 15; Cleveland, Ohio).
